  • One flex colour per post. Two max in a single carousel — and only across pages, never on the same slide.
  • Treat each group as a single role: tint = ground, saturated = headline ground, deep = editorial ground, highlight = inline only.
  • Always set type in #000 or #FFF. The flex colour is the background or the inline marker, never the headline fill.
  • Pair a flex colour with a core colour (black / white / magenta / lime) for the receipt strip and logo. Keep the brand visible.

  • Don't use two flex colours on the same canvas. Build contrast against black or white instead.
  • Don't use highlights as grounds. Acid yellow and mint chip vibrate at full-screen scale.
  • Don't apply a gradient across two flex colours. The brand gradient (magenta→orange→yellow) is the only approved one.
  • Don't bring back retired palettes (teal, lavender, salmon). Anything not on this page is off-brand.

  • Black is still the type. Use #000 for headlines on every light ground — never #333 or #444.
  • Magenta lives at small-scale on light: pull-quotes, the dot, numbered ticks. Never use it as the headline fill on cream — it vibrates.
  • Lime is fine as a full ground on light weeks. Yellow is a wash, not a ground.
  • Logo on light = black fill + black outline. The colour version (magenta+lime) stays for dark posts.

  • Don't drop the outline off MAFIA on light. It's the difference between the mark and a wordmark.
  • Don't use pure white (#FFF) as a ground for video thumbnails — instagram's compression eats the edges. Use cream.
  • Don't apply gradients on light grounds. The campaign gradient is a dark-only treatment.
  • Don't mix light + dark in a carousel unless the concept is the swap. Visual rhythm beats novelty.
